Youthline supports young Kiwis aged 12-24 throughout New Zealand offering a free helpline service (via text, phone, webchat & email), counselling and youth mentoring programmes. ASB is Youthline's principal partner, helping to ensure every young person knows it's okay to seek help and that Youthline is available 24/7 to offer support for free.
ASB and Hato Hone St John have been in partnership since 2008, working together to make a lasting difference in our communities. ASB branches are equipped with an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) and AED-trained staff. ASB is the programme sponsor for St John Caring Caller which connects trained volunteers with people who feel isolated or lonely.
Our youth financial literacy programme teaches kids to be clever with cash. ASB GetWise is delivered free to primary and intermediate students. This programme teaches practical money management skills and aims to establish good savings habits at one of the most important stages of children's learning development.
ASB Polyfest is an annual festival that celebrates Polynesian culture through song, dance and speech. Secondary school students perform and compete on stages representing Māori, Cook Islands, Niuean, Samoan and Tongan cultures. ASB has been naming rights partner since 1985, helping the festival to grow from humble beginnings to the spectacular multi-day event it is today.
