Service charges and overseas transaction charges apply. For details of fees applicable to your account(s) accessible by your ASB Fastcash card please see our Guide to Fees, which is also available at any ASB branch.
Overseas transactions
Overseas transactions will either first be converted into US dollars and then into New Zealand dollars or converted directly at an exchange rate selected by Visa, from available wholesale rates (or, if applicable, the Government mandated rate).
The Offshore Service Margin is a margin charged by us when you use your card to make an overseas transaction. An overseas transaction is a transaction made in currency other than in New Zealand.
For overseas transactions made using your Visa Debit card offshore service margins of 2.10% are charged on the converted New Zealand dollar amount of the transaction.
For overseas transactions using your ASB FastCash or Cashflow card offshore service margins of 1.1% are charged on the converted New Zealand dollar amount of each cash transaction.
The converted amount and the offshore service margins will be debited from your nominated bank account and detailed on your statement.
You will be charged ASB FastCash card fees and margins if you select cheque or savings when using your ASB credit card overseas.
