How it works
It's donating to charity, but not like you know it! An easy and innovative way to give back, Donate the Change helps you support either Youthline, Hato Hone St John, or KidsCan. Set it up today on the ASB Mobile Banking app.
Choose how much you'd like to donate
You choose how much change you'd like to donate, rounded up to the nearest $1, $2, $5 or $10. Then whenever you use your EFTPOS card and/or ASB Visa Debit card, the difference between the purchase price and the rounding amount will be deposited straight into the account of the charity you've chosen. It might seem like a small amount of money, but it adds up quickly, and every little bit helps.
Choose the type of electronic transaction
You also choose which payment type you'd like Donate the Change linked to -EFTPOS and/or ASB Visa Debit card payments, as well as other payment types such as direct debits and automatic payments (Donate the Change is not available with credit card or online transactions).
You're in control
You have full control of Donate the Change through the ASB Mobile Banking app. Turn Donate the Change on or off, change your rounding amounts, update your payment type, and change the charity linked to Donate the Change any time.

Here's how to set it up on the ASB Mobile Banking app:
- Select the transaction account you would like to Donate the Change from.
- On your 'Account summary', select 'Save the Change Setup' under 'More options'.
- Follow the prompts to donate your change.
When you donate to Youthline, ASB will match it
However you choose to donate, ASB will match it* - doubling the impact you make to young people in need.
