Jack Sock and Lauren Davis aren’t the only winners to emerge from the 2017 ASB Classic.
The 2017 ASB Classic saw some of the best tennis players in the world help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and support their important work to help families with children in hospital.
In particular, the ASB Rally for Charity raised a total of $18,090 over the two-week tournament, with $10 donated for every shot once a rally reached 10 hits.
Despite her early departure from the tournament, Serena Williams helped create one of the longest ASB Classic 2017 rallies, reaching 23 hits in her match against Madison Brengle earning $130. The ASB Classic’s longest rally was between Marcos Baghdatis and Adrian Mannarino reaching 41 hits and earning $310 for RMHC.
Additionally, the popular “Lobbo”, ASB Heart Wall and cushion donations raised $16,000 for RMHC, with a total of $34,090 raised across the two-week tournament.
