ASB Good As Gold - Tania Hamilton

We ask the New Zealand public to nominate people who are making a real difference in their community, have grabbed hold of life against the odds or who really deserve help in a time of hardship. The recipients are featured on TV One’s Seven Sharp programme.
This week's ASB Good as Gold winner is Tania Hamilton of Wellsford. Tania is a selfless, caring person and a pretty determined fundraiser who donates all her free time to Wellsford Plunket.
She is a busy mum of a toddler, helps run two farms and on top of that she is the co-ordinator and fundraiser for Wellsford Plunket. Tania has been running the show for the last 2 years and has brought the community closer and saved Plunket from closing its doors in Wellsford to all the local mums and babies. So far she has raised a significant amount of money to upgrade their local building, facilities, playground and resources. She does it because she loves her community.
To help Tania and the community she loves, we’ve given her $5,000 donation towards the Wellsford Plunket and $5,000 towards a trip of her choice. Tania intends to put the donation towards a new kitchen at the Plunket rooms.
