Every Step Counts at the 2019 ASB Christchurch Marathon
16 May 2019 / Published in Your CommunityOn Queen’s Birthday weekend, thousands of people from across New Zealand and overseas will be supporting Youthline when they cross the finish at this year’s ASB Christchurch Marathon.
We know that every step counts, so we’ve made doing a little more, a lot easier. Just a few metres after the finish line, we've set up another finish line. It will be yellow and surrounded by people who’ll be cheering the participants on. The best part is that once a participant crosses it, we'll donate $5 to Youthline on their behalf.
Those extra steps, and that of all the other participants, will go a long way to raising money essential for Youthline as they look to grow their volunteer base in Christchurch, and across the country. That means they can help even more young Cantabrians get the support they need.

Race Weekend Activity
There is plenty of activity on the course to spur on runners and entertain supporters and our team will be there on the day! Don’t forget that this year the start and finish line will return back to the Christchurch Town Hall.
To help cheer on friends and family, we’ll have the ASB supporter station by the finish line. We’ll be supplying supporter posters to help with the final push and because we know it can be pretty cold waiting around as a supporter, we’ve got some special ASB Christchurch Marathon hand warmers that we’ll be handing out.
