Making and receiving payments with your ASB business banking account just got easier.
From 26 May 2023, New Zealand banks will be able to process domestic electronic payments every day of the year.
You'll be able to receive and make electronic payments with your business banking account, between participating New Zealand banks, any day of the year, including weekends and public holidays, whether it's with ASB or another bank.

Capped debit contactless fee for small business
We've introduced a maximum merchant service fee for Visa and Mastercard debit contactless transactions of 0.70%, with the aim of making contactless acceptance available and affordable.
This applies to debit cards that are issued from a New Zealand issuer and excludes UnionPay debit cards, which will be charged at the same rate as all other transactions.
The new capped rate applies from 1 August 2020 onwards and is automatically applied to eligible small business merchants.
