Part of the wider community

Our Kaupapa

Paihere - Relationships that bind

The waka hourua has two hulls which represent ASB and Iwi Māori in partnership. Each part of the waka is bound together through the relationships we form. Whakawhanaungatanga is an aspect of Te Ao Māori that defines the way we work.

Hoetahi - Collaboration

The Hoe are the paddles which the navigators use to propel the waka towards new horizons. In order to achieve real momentum the navigators must row with precise rhythm and unity. Hoetahi represents unity and collaboration in these relationships.

Pouhoe - Trusted Leaders and Advisors

Pouhoe are our trusted advisors, who work with passion and energy to move opportunity forward for Māori. Each of our Pouhoe bring with them expertise and experience to navigate complex waters to an ambitious future.

Kia Eke Panuku - Connected to Opportunity

A pathway that connects us to our origins and source of who we are as Māori and forwards to a future for our tamariki mokopuna. This pathway also enables the next generation to access opportunity easier, by following the path we prepare for them.
