Talking is the first step to hope
New Zealand is facing a youth mental health crisis. That's why we partner with Youthline, so our rangatahi can get the mental health support they need, and ultimately, live life one step ahead
Read on to learn about how ASB and Youthline are working together and where you can access mental health help for young people as well as adults.
ASB and Youthline - Working together
Taking Youthline 24/7
Through our partnership, we've helped Youthline bring on overnight counsellors so now young people can get the support they need, day and night.
Mental wellbeing for schools
We're working with Youthline to provide young people with new ways to get support. Together, we co-created Youthline Leadership Connect, a mental wellbeing leadership programme we piloted in selected secondary schools.
Remove the stigma
One in five teenagers experience symptoms of depression. That's why we need to normalise talking about mental health. We want our rangatahi to know that whatever's going on, it's okay to reach out to Youthline and ask for help.
