ASB GetWise is in over 1,500 schools throughout New Zealand, teaching kids to be clever with cash. Parents can support their children with our helpful resources at home too, even if their child hasn't participated in the GetWise programme.
From school banking books to learning how to make wise spending choices with an Augmented Reality comic book, ASB has been helping kids get one step ahead for over 100 years.
Teaching children good money habits from an early age can really help to set them up for the future - and ASB GetWise does just that. Through our workshops kids learn the fundamentals of money in four different stages - from identifying needs and wants and learning to save, right through to budgeting - giving them a solid foundation to build on.
Our award-winning workshops are available to all year 1-6 students at primary school level and year 7-8 students at intermediate school level. They provide a fun, engaging environment for kids to learn in. The workshops are free, and our facilitators are professionally trained to deliver classes that not only meet national curriculum standards, but are captivating for students.
