Can I open a Foreign Currency Account in FastNet Classic?
Last Updated: 19 Jul 2021
Yes, if you’re eligible, you can open a personal Foreign Currency Account in FastNet Classic internet banking, but you'll need to have a standard ASB New Zealand dollar account already open in the same name as you wish to open the Foreign Currency Account in.
Here's how to see if you're eligible and apply:
- Log into FastNet Classic.
- Select the 'Open and apply' button on the accounts page.
- When the Open & apply page opens, if you can see 'Foreign currency account' in the Bank accounts section, you’re eligible and can apply.
- Follow the instructions to apply.
Please ensure you click on the ‘Terms and Conditions’ link that will appear for you to view.
Please note that you will have to agree to the ‘Terms and Conditions’ before you can open this a Foreign Currency Account.
