How do I record a name change in Online Share Trading of one of the companies in which I hold shares?
Last Updated: 16 Mar 2017
If the ticker (trading) code remains the same, this change will happen automatically.
If the company has a new ticker code, how do I update my Online Share Trading portfolio?
If there is also a change to the ticker code, you'll need to add a manual entry.
In your portfolio, simply add a sell transaction to remove shares in the old code and add a buy transaction to reflect the shares under the new code. It's a good idea to check your holdings against the registries record for accuracy.
