Simon Cooney

Rural Manager

Simon is from a farming background in Waimate, South Canterbury. He joined the ASB Rural team in February 2007, prior to that he was a Livestock Representative, giving him over 18 years' experience servicing rural New Zealand.

Simon and his wife Kelly run their own 155 ha sheep, beef and cropping operation on the outskirts of Timaru, plus Kelly runs her own marketing business. In his spare time Simon enjoys running, jet boating and the great outdoors New Zealand has to offer, as well as spending time with his young family. He enjoys working with a wide range of farmers and helping them achieve their financial ambitions.
