Can I use Google Pay if I report my ASB Visa card as stolen or has had fraudulent transactions?
Last Updated: 18 Oct 2024
Yes, you can continue using Google Pay from the next day.
If you currently use Google Pay, when you call ASB to report your card as stolen or has had fraudulent transactions on it, your physical card will be deactivated, the card will be removed from Google Wallet, and a replacement card will be posted.
Your replacement card details will be updated on your ASB Mobile Banking app overnight and you will first need to add the card into Google Pay again via the ASB Mobile Banking app to use Google Pay on your device from around 5 am the next day.
