How does ASB confirm my address online?
We use a trusted third party to check your name, date of birth and address. They then match your information to their database.
If they find a match, that’s all we need to do.
Otherwise, you’ll see an option to upload an appropriate proof of address document showing your name and current home address if you have completed the Join ASB form or in the ASB ID app. You can return to this step if you are a new customer by logging in to ASB using the Login button on the top right of the ASB website, or for all customers, in the ASB ID app after you have submitted your ID.
Before you upload your proof of address, check that it is an original PDF which you received in the last 12 months, shows your name and home address, is one of these approved PDF document types, and is smaller than 700kB.
You can also take an address verification document to an ASB branch.
