What information do I need to make an International Money Transfer?
Last Updated: 15 Nov 2024
It's important to have the correct information when sending an International Money Transfer. Here's what you need:
- Beneficiary Name and Address: Beneficiary's full account name and physical address including city and country.
- Beneficiary Account: full account number or IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
- Beneficiary Bank: The beneficiary bank's name, address and SWIFT Code (also known as a Bank Identifier Code/BIC).
If the beneficiary's name is long and exceeds the character limit, continue typing into the first line of the address field, then continue typing the beneficiary's address after the beneficiary's name. This will ensure ASB can send all the required details with your payment to the beneficiary bank.
When sending money overseas different countries may need different information from you. Find out more information on country specific details.
If you are sending an International Money Transfer via FastNet Classic internet banking you will also need a Netcode.
