How to make payments for goods and services to third-party apps and mobile websites

Open Banking enables you to make payments online directly from your bank account via the ASB Mobile Banking app, even if you do not have your credit or debit card handy. You can make a range of payments directly from your account so you can pay through third-party apps and mobile websites.

From the app or mobile website you are making a purchase from, select Pay now. Select your payment method via Open Banking and select ASB.

Note: The wording for this will be different depending on the place you're purchasing from.
You will be directed to the ASB Mobile Banking app. Log in to the ASB Mobile Banking app.
Review the payment information and enter the reference details if applicable. You can also select an account you’d like to make your payment from. Select Make payment to continue with the payment.
Success, your payment has been made. You can return to the third-party app or mobile website by selecting Return now, or you will be redirected automatically after 15 seconds.
