Can I set up an Automatic Payment via FastNet Classic internet banking or the ASB Mobile Banking app to pay my bills or credit card?
Yes you can. If you wish to make on-going payments for the same amount and at regular time, doing this using an automatic payment will mean you can 'set and forget'. Just make sure you've got enough money in your account to cover the payment when they're due.
You can create, view and edit Automatic Payments via FastNet Classic internet banking and the ASB Mobile Banking app.
To set up an Automatic Payment using FastNet Classic internet banking:
- Log in to FastNet Classic.
- Select 'Make a payment'.
- Select 'Automatic payment'.
- Select the account you’d like payments to come from and select 'New Automatic Payment'. If you want to alter an existing payment, select ‘View/Alter/Delete’.
- Payments can be made to any bank account in New Zealand. All you need is the payee's account number and name.
If you’re setting up an automatic payment to pay towards your ASB Visa credit card, please use the following information for payment details:
- Recipient (Payee) Name: ASB Credit Card
- Recipient (Payee) Account Number: 12-3116-0987656-020
- Particulars: The first 12 digits of the credit card number
- Code: The last 4 digits of the credit card number
- Reference: Surname + Initials
To set up an Automatic Payment using the ASB Mobile Banking app:
- Log in to the app.
- Select 'Payments' from the bottom bar.
- Choose the 'Make a payment' option.
- Enter your payment details, including the frequency.
- Payments can be made to any bank account in New Zealand. All you need is the payee's account number and name.
If you’re setting up an automatic payment to pay towards your ASB Visa credit card, please use the following information for payment details:
- Account Number - 12-3116-0987656-020
- New payee – ASB Credit Card
- Their reference details:
- Particulars: The first 12 digits of the credit card number
- Code: The last 4 digits of the credit card number
- Reference: Surname + Initials
Please note, if you’re setting up an Automatic Payment to pay for your ASB Visa credit card, payments can take up to two working days to appear. To avoid getting charged a late payment fee, set up your Automatic Payment to commence several days before the normal payment due date, and make sure it covers at least the minimum payment due each month too.
