I'm in Online Sharetrading, what do I need to know about market orders?
Last Updated: 18 Dec 2015
- Market orders can only be placed during market hours.
- Market orders can be placed but may not be accepted when trading in a particular stock is halted/suspended.
- Market orders cannot be amended or cancelled during market hours.
- A market order may be placed on a limit price if we believe the spread between the bid and ask price is too great. If this is the case we will try to contact you by phone or email. However, it is at our discretion how we place the market order on market.
