What are the Online Share Trading settlement terms?
Last Updated: 22 Mar 2017
Trades made on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) and Austrailian Stock Exchange (ASX) markets will settle two business days after the trade date (T+2). The settlement date is when sale proceeds will be paid to the seller and when the securities are registered into name of the buyer.
To ensure your trades settle on time, ensure that funds are available for any buy trade before settlement, and that all address details, FIN and registration details are correct for any sell trades.
For more information on the settlement period, view our guide to placing your first online order.
