What are the operating times for Same Day Cleared Payments?

You can send same day cleared payments to participating New Zealand banks between 9.00am and 4.30pm on a business day.
Important: A same day cleared payment that has been saved, but not authorised and sent, will expire at midnight.
Time (NZST) | Permitted Tasks |
9.00am to 4.30pm on a business day | Save, authorise, and send a same day cleared payment. Result: The payment is processed and made the same day. |
4.30pm to midnight on a business day | Save a same day cleared payment. Result: The payment expires at midnight. |
Midnight to 9.00am on a business day | Save, authorise, and send a same day cleared payment. Result: The payment is processed after 9.00am and made the same day. |
Anytime | Select an expired same day cleared payment. Result: The payment date changes to today's date. |
Anytime on a non-business day | Save a same day cleared payment. Result: The payment expires at midnight. |
