For more information on this change, please visit the Fitbit website.
To get started, make sure you have the latest version of the Fitbit app downloaded on your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet and make sure your Fitbit is charged. You're now ready to add your ASB Visa Debit or ASB Visa credit card.
1. In the Fitbit app go to your Fitbit settings and select the wallet app.
2. Follow the instructions to add your ASB Visa card. If you haven't created a PIN code for your Fitbit, you'll be asked to set one.
3. Once you've entered your card details you'll need to agree to ASB's terms and conditions.
4. ASB will verify your details and send you a one-time code to enter in to the Fitbit app. You'll need to be Netcode registered to receive the one-time code. If you're not Netcode registered you'll need to call the ASB Contact Centre on 0800 803 804 to activate Fitbit Pay.
5. Once activated you're ready to go.
Fitbit Pay works like all contactless Visa Debit and Visa credit cards, there is no need to enter a PIN for transactions under $200.
