Can I get summaries of my interest and tax certificates digitally?
If you've earned more than NZ$20 worth of interest at the end of the tax year (i.e. 31 March) and you’ve been digitally active by using FastNet Classic internet banking and/or the ASB Mobile banking app in the 180 days before 1 April, you’ll receive a notification that you can download a copy of your Resident Withholding Tax (RWT) certificates digitally. No paper copies will be sent in the mail to digitally active customers. ASB KiwiSaver Scheme annual member statements and tax certificates will also be available online for those that are digitally active and again, no paper copies will be sent in the mail for these members.
- RWT certificates will be available from around the end of April.
- ASB KiwiSaver Scheme annual member statements and tax certificates will be available from the start of June.
How to access these notifications via FastNet Classic:
- In the top right of the screen in the header, you’ll see a number on the bell icon, click on this to open up your notifications, or;
- Open the menu in the top left of the page and select ‘Notifications’.
How to access these notifications via ASB Mobile Banking app:
- In the top right of the screen in the header, you’ll see a number on the bell icon, click on this to open up your notifications.
From here you can view, download and share your documents.
Please note: ASB KiwiSaver Scheme members who have closed their account during the year, but still hold other ASB products, will only receive a tax certificate. Also, ASB KiwiSaver Scheme members who are under 18 will receive their statements in the mail.
Customers who have Treasury accounts, including Foreign Currency accounts, will receive the RWT certificates for these products as they currently do today, but may receive the certificate for their other accounts digitally.
