How do I register for Netcode?
Last Updated: 26 May 2021
Registering for Netcode for free* by:
- Calling us on 0800 FASTNET (0800 327 863) or + 64 9 306 3000 (from overseas) and select option 2. We’ll ask you some security questions to establish it’s really you, but we’ll never ask you for your FastNet Classic internet banking password or your PIN number.
- Alternatively visit any ASB branch and bring valid photo ID.
Choose how you want to receive your codes:
- By text*: We’ll send your Netcode as a text message to your mobile. Once your registration is complete you’ll receive them straight away.
- On a token: We’ll post your token out to you. When it arrives, call 0800 FASTNET (0800 327 863) to activate it.
*Netcode via SMS is free to use if you have a New Zealand mobile phone number, but please check with your provider in case there are charges to receive international text messages. Since we rely on international phone providers to send our Netcode SMS to international phone numbers, we cannot guarantee you’ll be able to receive Netcode SMS to your international phone number.
