How do I adjust my credit card limit?

To apply for an increase, you will need to make an appointment by:
- Calling 0800 100 600, or from overseas call +64 9 306 3000 (Mon – Fri 8.00am – 6.30pm, Sat 8.30am – 5.00pm, Sun and public holidays closed).
- Using the ASB Mobile Banking app and navigating to More > Contact us > Book an appointment.
- Visiting any ASB branch.
To decrease your credit card limit you will need to:
- Call us on 0800 255 382, or from overseas call +64 9 306 3000 (Mon – Fri 8.00am – 8.00pm, Weekends and public holidays 8.30am – 5.00pm).
- Visit any ASB branch.
There are a few things to know about Credit Cards:
- Approval is subject to ASB lending criteria.
- If you wish to reduce your current limit, you can reduce it to the minimum limit for your type of credit card. However you are unable to have a limit lower than your balance.
- If you decrease your limit, you may not be able to increase it again.
