Do I still qualify for employer contributions after I turn 65 and I’m still working?

Last Updated: 30 Mar 2020

Your employer doesn’t have to make contributions after you reach 65. However, if you joined KiwiSaver for the first time before 1 July 2019 and were aged 60-64 at the time, you will receive compulsory employer contributions for 5 years, or until you make your first retirement withdrawal. If you’re still working and making employee contributions, talk to your employer to see if they might continue your employer contributions as well.
