Does ASB Home Insurance cover loss of rent should my property become unliveable for my tenant?
Last Updated: 09 Feb 2023
In order to be covered for any loss of rent, you'll either need to have an existing ASB Home Insurance policy or an ASB Landlord's Home or Landlord's Contents Insurance policy.
If your rental home becomes unliveable due to loss or damage covered by your policy or EQC, we'll pay up to $30,000.
You must also let us know if your home or rental property will be vacant for more than 60 days in order to receive the full benefits of your cover.
For more information, please refer to the policy wording.
