How to register for the ASB Mobile Banking app

The ASB Mobile Banking app provides a safe and easy way of doing your banking on the go. Check balances, transfer money between accounts, pay bills and more. Download and print the guide to learn how to register for the ASB Mobile app.

Before you start

You will need to be registered for FastNet Classic internet banking (FNC) before you can register for ASB Mobile Banking. Tip: Please see the How to register for internet banking guide.
Register for Netcode, an extra layer of security for when you're completing certain banking activities with us online. Tip: Please see the How to register for Netcode guide.
Search and download the ASB Mobile Banking app on your smartphone or tablet. Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Download guide

Open the ASB Mobile Banking app and enter your FastNet Classic username and password, then select Register.
If you are registered for Netcode, select Send Netcode. We will send you a Netcode via text message that will authorise ASB Mobile on the device. Enter the Netcode, then select Continue located in the top right hand corner.
Tip: If you are not registered for Netcode this step will not be displayed.
To get full access to the app, such as the ability to pay more than $1,000 per day, see the How to Register for Netcode guide.
Enter your mobile number then select Continue in the top right hand corner.
Tip: This will allow you to receive payments from another ASB mobile user, and it will go directly into your bank account.
Set default account, then select Continue in the top right hand corner.
Tip: This account will be selected automatically when you send or receive a payment.
Choose your default application settings.
Tip: Stay logged in when switching apps, receive payment requests, allow Touch ID for log in.
Select your preferred appearance, then select Continue.
Now set a five-digit PIN. This will need to be entered twice to confirm.
Tip: Login is faster and easier with a PIN.
You have successfully registered. To view your accounts, select Login.
If you have other registered devices linked to your account, you will see this screen after completing registration. Please review the listed devices and remove any old or unrecognised ones.
You will need to enter your newly selected five-digit PIN to log in.
Tip: Stay up to date with important information about your account and security activity by allowing Push Notifications.
