How do I activate my new credit card or Visa debit card?

To activate your credit card you need to create a PIN.
You can create a PIN for your card and activate it from within our ASB Mobile app or FastNet Classic internet banking. (You must be registered for Netcode).
To activate your card through your ASB Mobile app:
- Log in to your ASB Mobile app.
- Open the ‘More’ menu in the bottom bar.
- Select Cards & devices.
- If you have more than one card, select the card you wish to activate, then click 'Update PIN'.
- Enter the security code for your card.
- Enter your chosen PIN on the keypad.
- Confirm your chosen PIN on the keypad.
To activate your card in FastNet Classic:
- Log in to FastNet Classic.
- In the top right-hand corner, select your 'Profile settings' menu and then select Card PIN.
- If you have more than one card, select the card you wish to activate.
- Enter the security code for your card and select continue.
- Enter your chosen PIN on the keypad.
- Enter your Netcode (this will be sent to your mobile device).
- Enter Submit.
Your card is activated and is ready to use.
Alternatively you can call us on 0800 803 804 or go into any ASB branch to create a PIN.
