What do I do if there’s a device registered for the ASB Mobile Banking app that I don’t recognise?

Last Updated: 12 May 2023

We take security extremely seriously. If you see a device, you do not recognise in your list of registered devices follow these steps:

1. Remove the device using either the ASB Mobile Banking app or FastNet Classic Internet Banking.

        ASB Mobile app.

  • Log in to the ASB Mobile app using a PIN, biometrics, or your password
  • Navigate to More > Settings > Security > Manage Devices
  • Remove any devices that are old or that you do not recognise

Tip: You can review the date a device was last used by selecting more information

        FastNet Classic internet banking.

  • Log in to FastNet Classic internet banking
  • Click on your username in the top right corner and select Manage Devices
  • Remove any devices that are old or that you do not recognise

Tip: The last used by date and registration date can help you identify potentially suspicious activity.

If you think there has been fraudulent activity on your accounts:

2. Change your password.

3. Review your accounts for any suspicious transactions or activity.

If you see any suspicious or unfamiliar activity and you think you have been targeted by an online or phone scam, let us know and we'll do everything we can to help. Call 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or +64 9 306 3000 if you are overseas.
